What “built in India” and open models mean
Indian engineering, customization, and deployment do not mean that every underlying model was originally created in India. Open-source and open-weight models also have different licensing conditions; each model must be evaluated for its intended use.
The objective is an integrated ecosystem shaped around Indian infrastructure, languages, business environments, and strategic priorities—not simply a generic model-hosting service.
